High school biology can offer students an important hands-on learning experience, but comes with a great cost... literally. Students would greatly benefit from a classroom set of microscopes to explore microscopic organisms and cellular processes. Student learn science best by doing science, and having equipment handy will make it easier for students to achieve that standard through lab instruction. My students are the future of the science field, so why not provide those real life experiences with hands-on labs and opportunities. Fostering the interest they develop for science in my course is my goal. I want to provide them with authentic experiences!
