The materials I'm requesting will help my students during therapy sessions. Many of my younger students suffer from anxiety, depression, and anger. Most elementary school students cannot convey these feelings very well. The putty and fidgets I'm requesting will help sooth many of my students during episodes of anxiety. Many of my students focus on only the negative; these items will help them identify their strengths and encourage great ideas. Through play therapy they are able to express themselves and work through difficulty situations. Structured games like Mindfulness Matters, Cards for Calm, and Mad Dragon will help my students identify feelings and learn new coping strategies. The Legos, coloring books, and Etch A Sketch will be used when talking about difficult subjects such as bullying, death, and fear. My goal is to help each of my students learn to cope with difficult situations. I greatly appreciate all the support to make this happen. Thank you!
