A variety of exciting books such as El escape cubano, Isabela captura un congo, Agentes secretos y el mural de Picasso, or Tumba mixed with very easy leveled readers such as the set of Emergent Readers to assure that all students can find something they like at their appropriate reading level. Students expand fluency, vocabulary, and enthusiasm in language by having free time for reading books at their level. This requires a lot of books! Not having my own Spanish classroom, it would be wonderful to build a collection large enough to rotate interesting books from one classroom to another.
