My students come from low socio-economic backgrounds so they do not have access to computers and WiFi at home. Every week my students are supposed to have a certain amount of minutes on an online assessment tool that our school uses. The amount of minutes needed ranges from 45-75 minutes a week per subject. I have three computers in my room and it is very difficult for my students to all get the minutes each one needs every week. By donating laptops to our classroom, you will help my students to continually grow academically, and they'll have the opportunity to learn about places or things that they may never get to experience. The assessment tool is wonderful. I can truly say that my students have grown so much academically. They also get exposed to places and ideas they've never been exposed to before. I also like it because I can add extra lessons if a student needs more practice or I can add prerequisites to a specific assignment. Without enough computers, we are always in a rush, trying to make sure everyone can have an opportunity to meet their required time.
