My students would benefit from having access to an iPad, because it would allow them to utilize the many amazing social emotional learning apps that are available. They could utilize the iPad to help with mindfulness techniques, solution focused needs, and goal tracking. Each student would have access to the iPad in a way that would best benefit their individual needs. The iPad could be utilized for calm down activities, anger management, and by cognitive development. Additionally, the iPad would allow for better documentation and data collection that would directly aligns with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) national guidelines.
