One of the main parts of teaching is to provide differentiation for all of my students. One of the best ways to differentiate is by allowing choice. We are in need of a printer in our classroom so students will have the opportunity to go on the computer and browse and find their own practice for the objective we are learning about in class. We need the printer so they can print out the page or pages they need to do practice and master the objectives in math class.
My students also do various projects which require research on the computer. Two main projects they do are for our Math Academic Extravaganza and their STEAM project. It is very difficult for them to always copy down information they need for their projects. We have to save their pictures, diagrams, examples, models that they need to a drive and hope the office will help us out and print them.
By donating to our project, you are helping fifth graders become more independent and more responsible for their own learning. They no longer just open a textbook and turn to the page the teacher tells them. They will be able to choose the page/ practice they need and print it out themselves. We thank you in advance for your donations.
