The materials and supplies requested for this project are the basic needs to help run a classroom. Our students come from very low-income poverty level households, and they do not come to school with the necessary supplies. Day after day, I supply many students with something to write with or paper to write on. As a special education teacher, I am constantly creating foldable notes, reference sheets, and manipulatives for my students to use. Many of the teachers in my district have to purchase necessary supplies out of pocket. Additionally, the provided textbooks are too advanced for the majority of my students, so I am often creating my own assignments or printing something more suitable.
