My students enhance their learning with access to laptops and the internet. Some newcomer students need additional support in letter and sound recognition, others with comprehension skills in reading, and other students with conducting research for their biographies. We have some laptop carts at this school but the cart is shared by 5 classrooms. adding 4 laptops in my specific classroom would allow me to create a center where students can get daily practice in letters, sounds, comprehension, research, or math skills! My entire class is from low income homes and most do not have access to a laptop at home.
