By allowing students to choose their seats as they enter into the class, it is giving them a sense of investment and engagement in their learning. In addition, giving students choices in their seating arrangements (stability balls, floor seating etc), can lead to a sense of excitement and a renewed spark of learning. Times are changing in the classroom environment. By allowing students to feel they are part of the learning process, even if it as simple as choice seating, we are motivating them to want to learn. Each child learns in a different way, why not allow different seating choices?!
