Daily Physical Education time each day is vital to my student's health and well being. The students need the physical release of their energy after working hard mentally all day. They also enjoy the social aspect of PE time. The PE equipment that I currently have is extremely limited. I would like to expand my collection of equipment so as to offer more exciting choices in PE for my students. My students need various types of balls for team sports, such as basketballs, soccer balls, and dodge balls. We also need soccer goals, a ball pump, and a ball storage bag. Additionally, the students will rotate through PE stations, and need equipment for the stations, such as frisbees, jump ropes, scooter boards, hula hoops, and cones. Daily physical activity is so important for my students, especially in this day of increased technology use. Students who are physically fit are better able to handle physical and emotional challenges. They are less likely to be overweight, and they gain more energy. Learning to be physically fit as a child will become a long term habit into adulthood.
