Every year my students learn about the different biomes around the world. We complete the unit with a diorama project. The students get to choose a biome and build it using different materials such as boxes, plastic plants and animals. The students look forward to this project every year! In the past years the students struggle finding the simplest supplies to use for this project. Many students can't even find an empty box to build their dioramas in. I try to save boxes (shoes, pizza, etc.) throughout the year for the students who will need them. Many of my students can't afford the supplies such as plastic animals and plants, so they often just find stuff out of their yards at home. This year I would love my students to be able to build their dioramas without having to worry about where to find the supplies.
