My students are in grades 5-12 in the music program. This is a public school where all students receive musical training. We live in an area that is not close to many cultural activities, so it is imperative that teaching and programs bring much of that into the classroom. With a failed mill levy and losing one of the music teachers, it is a time to really look for ways of bringing more to the students. My classroom is band/choir/general music at different levels. They are very creative and love to express themselves, although it is difficult for them to do this at concerts so I am looking for ways to help them achieve success in this area.
