I am a Reading/Writing Specialist in an urban middle school in the capitol city of Concord, NH. There are 1100 students in our school, one reading/writing specialist, so my job is to support students and teachers to promote literacy across grades 6-8 and to provide intervention services for the most reluctant and challenged readers/writers. I believe reading and writing are ways kids can contribute to their community. They are developing this project and writing this grant as a contribution and meaningful way to see their writing at work.

About my class
