By getting more Chromebooks in the hands of my students, I am hoping to promote strong digital citizenship skills. This includes an enhanced eMentorinship program, more collaborative writing assignments and the the ability to digitally edit and revise written work. In addition, much of the assessed reading students complete is online. I would love the chance to offer my students more authentic online reading experiences and this requires increased technology in the classroom. Most importantly, regular use of technology in the 21st century is a life-skill. I want my students to have frequent and varied access to this so they develop this skill during adolescence and learn positive, productive uses of technology now.
