My students will utilize the Chromebooks to achieve educational gains and work towards closing the achievement gap. The tablets will be very useful in exposing students to research-based intervention programs that will increase their reading and math levels. The tablets will expose students to a different type of learning and allow them to use technology to increase their depth of understanding new material. More importantly, the tablets will make learning fun and can be used in both reading and math. In reading, the Chromebook may be used for phonics, listening to reading, and many other interactive activities to increase phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension. In math, it could be used for computation, re-teaching/review and academic games to increase math skills.
