Many of my students appreciate the opportunity to use computers to enhance their learning and create quality product; however, most don't have first hand access to computers or the Internet. They must be resourceful to complete technology based assignments, often shuttling works in progress from our school's media center to the local public library, where they can use the computers free of charge. Recent budget cuts have reduced the operating hours of our school's media center, further necessitating portability of data. Students need flash drives to improve their chances of completing the assignments and gaining a sense of accomplishment.
