In a project based classroom, students feel more productive when they can choose how they work. Flexible seating empowers students to make a choice and work in the setting that is most productive for them. When students walk into the flexible seating classroom, they know they're in for a new, different experience. It sets the tone. I do things differently and I want my students to know this right away. They're about to go on a journey with me. Tables with high top chairs will give students a place to stand or sit, working one on one with their partner. Comfortable seating that is good for posture allows students to work solo in a comfortable environment that feels more like home.
