My school is located in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area of Southern California. We have 100% free and reduced lunch. It is a middle school grades 5 through 8. I teach a reading intervention class so my students are all struggling readers that are two or more grade levels behind. One group of students that I work with is at the very beginning of learning English as well. This is a Chevron Teacher Grant application.
