I am trying to improve the learning environment and community in my classroom. One way to do this is through flexible seating. Flexible seating offers students choices on where to sit. Not all students learn best just sitting at a desk in a traditional chair. I want to allow my students to find the seat that will best offer them a chance to focus and learn. I have put on seats that offer different sensory and movement options to give students the stimulation their brains need to be engaged. Also, a short table offers students floor seating as they see comfortable.
