I'm always looking for books that will pique my students' interest and really get them excited about reading in their second language. I have selected books by authors that are very popular in my classroom and have really gotten some of my reluctant readers excited about reading. I have also selected some wordless picture books (the ones with English titles) to get my kids talking about stories in the target language. Learning is a social activity and I love providing opportunities for students to discuss literature while developing oral Spanish language proficiency. These wordless books also inspire creativity in writing and help to develop reading comprehension skills.
