Growing up in the flatlands often means that our students have to grow up faster. Their daily realities can be extremely difficult and as a result, they must build a tough facade in order to deal with the day to day. This project, will give my students the opportunity to be kids for at least a moment everyday. It will help them develop the sense of community and belonging we all need to feel in order to be positive members of society. This soccer equipment will give my students an opportunity to learn and hone in their physical skills. But more importantly, it will help them learn about leadership, sportsmanship, and how to be team players. These social skills will help my students be more successful in and out of school.

About my class
