The headphones I am requesting will improve the quality of the iPad center. Currently, the majority of students have to mute each device because there are only two headphones for 10 devices. Students are missing out on explanations, read aloud and good music to listen individually. We have tried to listen in a low volume, but, with 10 devices, it gets chaotic. The computer center is one of the most used and relevant learning stations in the classroom. During the computer rotation, eight to six iPads are use for 15 minutes two to three times a day with programs such as Brain Pop Jr, Enuma Todo Math and ABC Learning. During assessments and after school tutoring, all 10 iPads are use at the same time for periods of 30 minutes. I applied and received a one-year subscription to Enuma Todo Math because progress monitoring with the use of iPads is crucial to foster student academic success. The App ABC Learning also promotes students academic achievement. Brain Pop Jr offer explanations, quizzes and games relates to topics cover in class. We need headphones for students to listen to their individual lessons to improve academic success and student accountability.
