While the team typically does a chocolate fundraiser, it is not enough to cover all of the materials that the students need in order to study the material and compete against other teams. I am asking for copies “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” because this is the required literature component for Aca Deca this year. Having their own copy will allow them to further develop reading and annotation skills as this is a high level text. In addition, I am asking for expanding file folders because as the coach, I complete lessons with them to better prepare the students for competition and to have a greater depth of understanding of the curriculum. The file folders will allow them to remain organized and have easy access to the handouts and curriculum we use for Aca Deca. Furthermore, I am asking for a curriculum guide to better equip me with helping my students be prepared for the literature component. By donating to the project, you will arm students with the navigational capital needed to help them overcome the educational barriers that stand in their way. You will help them be better prepared for college by allowing them to develop skills that can transfer beyond high school. Although I am simply asking for books and file folders, they mean so much more to my students. Thank you for providing my students with educational opportunities and feeding into their thirst for knowledge.
