With the addition of iPads into our classroom, my students will be able to access apps that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. An iPad helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners, open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. The iPad will become a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom as well as build twenty-first-century skills that our children need in order to be successful in a quickly evolving technical world. My students will be able to use iPads in math centers to work with manipulatives, and enrich their basic fact skills. The student's will also be able to use iPads during STEM activities to take videos and photos of their work and create public products. It will also increase the students' access to research topics and write about their research. Most of my students are English Language Learners and lack the confidence to participate in discussions. With the use of the iPads, my students can build their confidence in speaking English and feel more comfortable participating and getting involved in their learning. The students will be able to listen to stories or practice listening to audio conversations to boost their listening and speaking confidence.
