In my special education class, my students are in urgent need of flexible seating options. My students have sensory needs and receive occupational and physical therapy. The ordinary chairs we currently have are causing challenges in the classroom. They are noisy on the floor and often present as a safety concern for my very active students. My students need frequent movement and often end up falling out of their chairs or getting their feet stuck. The flexible seating items I selected for this project will allow my students to be most comfortable and successful. Balance discs and lap desks will be used for instruction on the rug and the wobble chairs, balance balls and chair bands will be used during reading and math centers at the horseshoe table. Flexible seating would allow for my students to fidget in an appropriate and safe way during instruction. Thank you in advance for your support with this project!
