These carpet squares will make a big difference for the children I teach because they will teach them how to stand in a line and give each other personal space. Right now, our transitions in and out of the classroom are quite a challenge. My students tend to group up and push against each other to get out the door. Many of my students require individual assistance, and I simply do not have enough hands to place them all individually in line. The children I teach with developmental differences have greater difficulty visualizing abstract concepts such as personal space. These carpet squares will aid their learning and prepare them to move onto kindergarten, where they are expected to already know how to walk in a line. It will help them greatly to be able to look at a colored square so they know where to stand or sit. I would love to buy these squares for my classroom floor, but I don't have the funds right now as a first year teacher. I greatly appreciate any help with getting these for my classroom!
