My students and I do regular reflections on our learning and collaboration within the classroom. They also participate in a lot of problem solving practice, identifying problems within a current topic and trying to solve the problems that may arise in the future. Both of these writing pieces throughout the year are kept on random pieces of paper and many times get misplaced. Having one place for my students to keep these will allow them to revisit their work and continue their growth more easily. The time they dedicate to reflection in my classroom is beneficial to their growth as human beings and positive contributors to their communities. The problem solving process we would practice in these journals will allow them to see their growth in one place, keep their work in one place easily and be able to use previous examples when they get stuck.
