We all know that reading is a key ingredient in student success. Our library, though well-stocked, is full of old and damaged books. The average age of our collection is from 1998. Every day, students come in looking for books that they can relate to, that are up to date, and that capture their imaginations. While I am able to purchase a few new titles thanks to book fairs, our library budget is too small to make a big impact. I would love to see the students who daily mine my shelves be able to find their personal goldmine.
