These items will make a difference in my students learning because they are motivated by tangible, edible rewards and awards. My students often get hungry and this makes them struggle in learning. They need energy and/or something to tangible to help keep them going. We are on a double block schedule for the first time in many years and that's pretty heavy when it's in reading. Students get antsy, restless and hungry. Therefore, having something for them every now and then helps them to do their best work. I chose snacks that I currently try to give students when I get a chance. These are the items that I utilize in my classroom to encourage my students. They specifically like bottled water, snack crackers, cookies and most candy. If my project is funded my students will be very appreciative because they are grateful to be thought of no matter how big or how small!
