This 'class-set' of yoga mats will help improve school lives by aiding in the teaching of mindfulness, visualization, and relaxation techniques to students in Pre-K through 2nd grade. Data shows that students who are calm and in control of their bodies perform better at school. Having the yoga mats to complement my counselor lesson will provide the students the proper environment to enjoy the combination of mindfulness, body movement, and education all in one. Having the yoga mats also teaches students the concept of personal space; respecting others' personal space is a tool students can take with them through adulthood.
