These wobble chairs will be the first addition to my classroom, as I begin transitioning to a flexible seating classroom. My focus is to give my distracted learners an option to refocus their movement. If my students are able to still move without being distracted, it is a win-win! I believe these wobble chairs can help them do just that. Some students do their best learning when they are given a little wiggle room. I've asked for wobble chairs to help facilitate the learning of my students who have a hard time sitting still. I'd like to place them at work stations around the classroom, but also allow students to move them to areas where they see fit. As I continue my journey in transitioning to a flexible seating classroom, this will be one option, of hopefully many, for my students to choose from. Overall, I have a lot of students who like to wiggle while they work. Regular chairs will not allow them to move while they learn, but a wobble chair will. I don't believe that all children need to sit still while they learn and work, wobble chairs will give these kids a chance to enhance what they can do in the classroom.
