During class, my students ask to move onto the floor or to a small rug I placed towards the front of the room. Each day they rush to the rug to ensure they have a spot to sit. This is what inspired me to apply for a grant in an effort to enrich their learning environment. My ultimate goal is to better their education. When I was the age of my students I remember wanting alternative classroom seating. I would love to give my students some bean bags, lap desks, butterfly chairs, and ottomans, in the hopes that it will encourage learning and better prepare them for their futures. By donating to this project, you will help me obtain and provide multiple "non-traditional seating" locations within my classroom.
