Modeling is key in first grade! This can be done easily by using an easel. This easel will keep my students in close proximity and keep them engaged in the lesson. It will be an integral part of my whole group lessons. This easel will give my students an opportunity to interact in all subject areas. They will be able to see what they learned from anywhere in the classroom. Our current easel is very small and hard to move around. This easel can be moved around the room to be more teacher and students friendly. We would use this new easel for big book read alouds, math lessons, literacy lessons, writing time and more.
