I am requesting an iPad for my students to learn how to use technology in the classroom. We will use our iPad to chronicle children's learning experiences and creativity throughout the school year by creating a virtual yearbook. The class will be able to take pictures of their artwork, writing samples, dramatic play, block structures and other creative expression exhibited inside and outside of the classroom. They can use this tool to document and improve on projects and areas of study introduced by the classroom curriculum. They can also extend their experiences by using the iPad to look up items of interest such as videos, learning games and other activities to encourage literacy, and overall learning in a way that they can physically see and hopefully can relate too.
