The flexible seating furniture will assist with personalized learning. It will assist with promoting growth mindset in students. It will help students feel they belong to their academic community and give them comfort, letting them know choices are okay and allowed. The mathematical centers chosen will meet the needs of all grade levels being taught. The math centers will be used as individualized and small group resources to closed academic gaps as well as strengthen skills to promote growth and the mindset of success. The center(s) will assist student development and understanding of common core standards across grade levels with rigor by allowing kinesthetic and visual learning, meeting students at their level. The donations for this project will improve my ability to provide the appropriate interventions and attention to my students as well as provide choices that help students understand their work has value for them and they can succeed. While I'm working with a group, a student needing their own space or needing a different atmosphere to concentrate may utilize the flexible seating table outside/inside the classroom. Students who are diagnosed with disabilities may use flexible seating to reinforce their focus because they are able to move and feel they belong to their academic community. This will decrease behavioral issues and the focus returns to learning.
