These Chromebooks would be life changing for my students. Due to the fact that my students are in special education classes, they are often an after thought when it comes to access to technology. My school has two Chromebook carts for nearly 900 students. When they are not being used for the multiple district tests teachers are required to give, they are often designated to be used by the Advanced Learning classes. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. These Chromebooks will give students the opportunity to conduct research and gain word processing skills. They will also have access to a more interactive curriculum as well as visual aids. These students deserve the opportunity to discover skills that could allow them to gain knowledge for a trade or other opportunity that could sustain them in their future.
