These materials would have a huge impact on the quality of learning my students would be able to access and practice. I'm requesting a projector for my classroom that I share with 3 other teachers. While most rooms have a smart board, ours does not. This projector would enable not only me, but my coworkers I share a room with, to be able to utilize our laptops to display teacher-made presentations on our whiteboard, create educational games on the computer, display e-books, allow our students to present their own presentations that are project-based, and so much more! We are fortunate to have access to many computer-based game templates to engage our students in new learning, or to get them excited about reviewing what they've already learned. However, without a means to project these games, we won't be able to utilize such a wonderful resource. It's no secret that students will be much more engaged when learning and practice are presented in a game format; and everything requested in this project would afford my students these exciting opportunities over and over again. In addition to the projector, I've asked for headphones. Although our school is equipped with Chromebooks for classroom use, there is often a shortage of headphones. I'm requesting these headphones so that students will able to engage in online educational sites without disrupting the learning of fellow classmates. I plan to use the headphones in my resource classroom, as well as in the general education classrooms I travel to with my IEP students. Thank you to all who consider donating to this powerful!
