Wobble seats, soft seating, and seating cushions help students meet sensory needs without causing distraction! Flexible seating allows students to remain in the classroom to keep them focused and present for academic and social instruction. Most of my students live in low income/high poverty homes resulting in struggles to meet basic needs. Students who sleep on floor mats often come in dysregulated and uncomfortable, flexible seating can help meet this basic need. Our students can feel safe and comfortable while engaging in academic and social tasks! Having the ability to wobble while seated allows students to get out anxious energy while remaining in the classroom.
