Having books like "Where's Spot", "No, David", and more would increase interest in our classroom library. Books like, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom", "Hats, Hats, Hats", and more will provide on level books. This way the children in the classroom can enjoy reading by themselves or with a friend. Because I am a first year teacher my classroom library is very very very small. I only have a 30-40 books and most of those are above or below the level of the students in the classroom. I encourage my students to read, but understand when they resist because they do not like the material that is provided for reading. This donation to our classroom would help so much with this issue, and hopefully plant a seed in many young readers.
