Every child wants to enter the classroom and experience success. What if they had something holding them back that they can't control? Should we hold that against them, should we penalize them for the way they learn? Or should we adapt, should we adjust our thinking? I believe in the latter. Every single child deserves success and it is our JOB to give them all the tools to success.
I would like to provide students with choices for seating, that best suit their learning styles. The items that would be donated would a some of the options for students. They include a floor table with 4 seats, along with balance balls to go around a pre existing table. This will allow students to channel their energy in a positive way, while instill responsibility for their learning. Flexible seating is providing the student with the tools to succeed. I want to give them the satisfaction of leaving my classroom knowing they gave it their all and had every single tool in their toolbox to do just that!
