Sound reinforcement for a show choir is a necessity. Not only do we use microphones in rehearsal we also need a portable sound system to travel with us to our community performances. Our current sound reinforcement is outdated and broken. Our community performances this year included, 4 tree lightings, The Center of Hope, Dudley Adult Day Care, our area homeless shelter, many Christmas gigs, Webster Business Expo Make a Wish foundation and Mechanics Hall in Worcester Ma. We want to bring joy to the people watching our performance. A gift of this Mackie portable sound system would help us bring music to the community in a better way as well as aid us at rehearsal in our auditorium. We will be able to make the most of poor performance spaces by ensuring that the music we are making is heard. Students will also learn the engineering behind the board, mic technique and sound engineering basics.
