Flexible seating is a non-verbal way of saying welcome to OUR classroom. I need a classroom space that will accommodate movement, choice, group discussion, and self-directed learning. The supplies I have requested will create and a diverse but cohesive classroom for high school students. The rugs will create stations throughout the classroom for various activities and allow them to get up and move around which in turn will help with behavioral issues. The beanbag chairs are easily moved from one location to another and from one activity center to another. The lap desks will allow them to use the flexible seating and still be actively engaged in the class work and discussion.
