Osmo will be a great tool for my students to use during literacy centers which we do daily. My students need games and activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, and writing.
Through the use of an iPad, they will have the chance to practice the reading and writing skills, specifically spelling, which they need to be successful in literacy! Through the use of Osmos, my students will have the chance to spell words based on the picture they are seeing. Osmo provides letter tiles for the students to physically manipulate the letters. Each letter they get right appears on screen, until eventually the entire word is revealed.
As the teacher, I can also upload our spelling words of the week to give my students an additional opportunity to practice them. By enhancing their spelling skills, they will become stronger readers and writers.
