Funding these STEM materials will significantly impact the lives of my students. To begin with, funding this project will allow me to establish an "After School" robotics club. Instituting this club will not only allow us to inspire the youth of our community into the field of STEM, but will also establish a safe space for students after the dismissal of the school day. Furthermore, the generous funding of this project will assist in developing the skill sets required as 21st century learners! With the exposure to this software, students will not only be granted the opportunity to program and address the growing demand for STEM, but will also provide a challenge to think logically, problem solve, and collaborate in order to accomplish a set goal, all of which are essential components required for the future job market! With the graciousness of the donors funding this project, our students will have the opportunity to explore the field of STEM through their hands-on experiences with the LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics software. Ultimately, we hope that through this experience, students will be further inspired to continue their exploration in STEM and will continue evolving their creativity throughout their lifetime.
