Access to technology is amazing. Many of our families do have smart phones or electronic readers. Not many have computers. If they do, sometimes they don't have internet.
My students have become more comfortable using the internet for research and information and digital communication. They also are improving skills needed to create documents and projects using our Office365 accounts. They can type up reports and share them with me, they are using power point for presentation.
I am excited to add to their technological education by giving them access to even more! We will be using the Apple iPad tablet with cover and protection plan to create green screen movies showing places to visit in the states the students are studying. We will record students in front of a green background then remove the background using an iPad green screen app and replace it with pictures of the places the students are describing. We will also be making iMovie trailers about famous Patriots and Loyalists from the Revolutionary War era. Finally, we will use iMovie to record and create science presentations for STEM projects and NGSS learning goals.
