My students have a variety of emotional needs and I would like to have a "Calm Down Corner" for students to use when they get frustrated or upset. I plan to use the fidget items to give students a few moments to cool down so they can quickly rejoin the class. My students are also very active. We try to get up and move when possible, but I would love to give them an opportunity to move their legs while they are working at their seats. Kicking and fidgeting can help improve concentration so we will use the bands on the desks of students who need to get some of their wiggles out.
