The students in my classroom come from all different backgrounds and cultures with a variety of disabilities. Many of them need music to help calm them down; this allows them to concentrate on their work. Plato said "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything." Having an Mp3 player gives them the ability to listen to music or books on tape while individually working. This also keeps them off their phones searching through music sites or other distracting sites.
