Attending this 2 day Literacy Retreat will help me learn cutting-edge research that will help me reach my goal of raising achievement in reading and writing with my students. Throughout each session in the conference , I'll learn practical, classroom-ready strategies from a literacy specialist. I will use what I learn to boost comprehension, help gain knowledge to teach how to evaluate media literacy, and ways to foster resilience through reading and writing. After considering how valuable the conference will be to my profession and how it will affect the many classes of students I will teach in the future.
