My 5th graders need access to exciting, hands-on, and useful learning tools included in these Social Studies Resource Boxes. Creating social studies centers based on the topic we are currently studying will allow for students to extend their knowledge on the following topics that are focused on in 4th-5th grade curriculum: The American Revolution, Westward Movement, Explorers, U.S. States and Regions, and The United States Government. All of these social studies topics are difficult for kids to wrap their brains around because they are so far removed from their current lives and living situations. Kids need a fun way to engage and learn about our government!
