These water tests are used to test water on multiple factors to see its overall quality. The nitrate, phosphate, pH, and dissolved oxygen water quality tests are all significant in understanding what makes water "clean" and what might pollute that water. These water tests allow for real life applications of concepts in class, so they understand the quality of water in their own community. The students are able to extrapolate what makes some water healthy and other water polluted. These tests are time consuming, and only having one set of each makes the lab take many days, and students waiting for the kit are not able to make an efficient use of their time. In addition, the water samples have a shelf life, so the longer the lab takes, the less accurate the results. With your help, we can make the labs much smooth, accurate, and more efficient.
